Hi everyone! I wrote this book in 2019 and it was released in August 2020 amidst the worst of the pandemic.
Even before knowing that I wouldn't be able to do a book tour or even talk to people about the book in person for years, writing a book was a completely new and unprecedented challenge for me! Because I did not hire a ghost writer but chose to tell this story in my own words, I paused traveling and event appearances (an income branch) for several months to sit down every day and write write write. As a first-time author and a non-native English speaker, this was by far the hardest thing I have ever done in my entire life.
It was also a longtime dream, finally fulfilled, and I am incredibly proud of the end result.
Getting the word out about this book has been really hard because it did not have a normal book launch campaign, and today when fans meet me at events, many are surprised to find that I had written a book!
But I hope it resonates with die-hard cosplay and costuming fans as well as those who have never cosplayed before or recently started their journey and that it will find more readers over time!
