Why I chose to make this costume:
I really like the world building and character designs in Zenless Zone Zero, and Yanagi was my pick to cosplay. When I did the promo campaign for ZZZ in January, they asked me to be Miyabi (another Best Girl), so I ordered the Yanagi costume on a whim and wore her to Naka-Kon!
How I made this costume:
This is a bought costume for fun, I didn't make it. But I almost wish I had just buckled down to make the outfit myself, because with Yanagi I ran into the usual problem... When I buy costumes, they aren’t made from the materials I would have used, and they definitely don’t fit me properly without a lot of alterations. Every time I buy a costume, I think “maybe this one will fit! It looks so good in the listing photos!” And then I get it and am like 😐😐😐 and have to spend like a whole day ripping apart seams and resewing parts of it. Besides altering the costume, I also recut and styled and wig!
Thoughts on this costume:
I didn't entirely liked how I looked in this costume but the photos are alright and I'm willing to rewear Yanagi at another occassion in the future to give her another chance! Maybe with a group this time?
