Why I chose to make this costume:
I'm weak for Fox characters (one of my first OC cosplays 20 years ago was a Kitsune!) and Fugue has suuuuch a pretty costume design! I was completely seduced haha!
How I made this costume:
This costume was NOT made by me! It is a full set from @dokidokicosplay_official and I'm super impressed with the quality of the SR version! The metal accessories are especially cool, and the dress is very nicely structured with boning along the bust seams. Of course it also comes with gorgeous embroidery and details, and you can get the matching fox ears, tail and shoes as well! They truly thought of everything!
I usually have to do a lot of alternations on commercially made costumes but Fugue fit me right out of the bag - a pleasant surprise!
I did spend an afternoon crimping and styling the wig, as as well as attaching all the metal embellishments all over the outfit.
Thoughts on this costume:
It was really fun to cosplay this Foxian lady! For the photoshoot, I created a simple stylized Chinese set and I really like the results! I hope to meet other Honkai: Star Rail cosplayers at events this year!
