Why I chose to make this costume:
This costume has been clouding my head for about 1 year and a half before I was finally able to make it. After meeting lovely M. and learning about her love for fairies and wings, we decided to create a faerie group together.
How I made this costume:
I made everything on the costume myself, except for the wings and the armored chest pieces (Jenny helped me with them.) It consists of an armored bodice, skirt, gauntlets and feather shoulder pieces with tons of hand-painted sheers. The beading that spills from the wig, shoulder pads, the feathers from my sides as well as the skirt took 2 weeks to complete on it's own, and I hand-styled a red wig with blond strands and made custom jewelry to go with everything. I designed my wings and M. bent and covered them, then I embellished them by hand.
Thoughts on this costume:
This costume is very precious to me because it is entirely my own creation. I feel incredible while wearing it and receive great feedback every time. I must thank my original faerie friends M., Jenny and Leo for all their inspiration and motivation.
