Felicia (Pink) - Darkstalkers

Why I chose to make this costume:
Ok, so this is my regular Felicia costume but with a pink wig! I thought for a long time whether or not to add this as a separate costume... but in the end, styling the wig itself was such a pain, it kind of deserves it's own gallery. Plus I will have a lot of photos of this version to upload so it's nice to separate them.
I love the color combination white and pink and thought it would be cute to do Felicia's second player version!

How I made this costume:
The wig started off as my bubblegum angel wig, and I spent a couple of hours teasing the heck out of it, slowly building up layers until it turned into the poofy Felicia wig. I also added extensions to the back and cut them into layers to give the wig more length. Lastly I made the pink ribbons hanging from the headband!

Thoughts on this costume:
It was a lot of fun to wear this costume to AX with Heidi - I thought we looked super cute together! We got a lot of media attention and were stopped for photos constantly. Guess two kittygirls are better than one! The day after AX, I did a photoshoot with Geoffrey Nicholson. He really liked the pink version of this costume and had a photoshoot in mind for it with a specific prop in his possession. It's this crazy vintage mouse toy car in bright colors from who knows what era.
Geoff's style of photography takes him to all sorts of locations and he tends to stick eccentric outlandish characters in non-matching urban to desolate settings. As it happens, I love crazy weird setting for photos as well, so we had a lot of fun that day.
